What is homogeneous vinyl flooring?

What is homogeneous vinyl flooring?

Homogeneous vinyl flooring is made from a single layer of mixed materials from top to bottom, primarily composed of PVC resin powder, calcium carbonate, and stabilizers. Due to its uniform composition throughout, homogeneous vinyl flooring functions as an ultra-thick wear-resistant layer. However, the wear resistance levels of homogeneous vinyl flooring can vary. This article will introduce homogeneous vinyl flooring based on differences in wear resistance levels and patterns.

Wear Resistance Levels

The resin powder content determines the wear resistance level of homogeneous vinyl flooring. The levels are divided into five categories:

T Level: Resin powder content over 80%
P Level: Resin powder content between 60%-75%
M Level: Resin powder content between 40%-50%
F Level: Resin powder content over 20%

Patterns and Customization

Homogeneous vinyl flooring is available in a wide range of colors. Doublehorseflooring offers nearly a hundred color options. Additionally, for larger purchase volumes, we provide customization services according to customer requirements. The patterns of homogeneous vinyl flooring are generally classified into directional and non-directional:

Directional Homogeneous Flooring: A one-time molding product with slightly lower PVC content and performance.
Non-Directional Homogeneous Flooring: A product that undergoes multiple molding processes, resulting in higher PVC content, higher density, and better performance.

Types of Flooring

Homogeneous vinyl flooring comes in both sheets and rolls:

Rolls: Have fewer joints, a stronger foot feel, enhanced anti-fouling ability, higher PVC content, and a more comfortable feel compared to sheets.

Surface Treatment

The surface of homogeneous vinyl flooring is treated with PU, which penetrates up to 1mm, known as PUR generation enhanced penetration treatment. This treatment directly affects the internal structure of the floor, enhancing its wear resistance, antibacterial properties, and extending its service life.
