Installing homogeneous flooring is a highly specialized task, requiring extremely high standards for both substrate quality and construction techniques. If you’re not an experienced professional, we strongly recommend hiring a professional installation team to ensure the longevity and effectiveness of the flooring. This guide will outline both the professional procedures and precautions to ensure you understand the entire process and effectively oversee the installation.

Materials, Equipment & Tools
l Adhesive
l Welding Rod
l Installation equipment (including tools):
slotting machine, plastic welding torch, rubber boring head, cutter, ruler, brush, waxing machine, etc. Its specifications, performance and technical indicators should meet the construction process requirements.
l Installation Preparation
(1) Learn design and construction drawings and survey the construction site.
(2) Formulate construction plan.
(3) Prepare materials, equipment and tools according to the construction process requirements.
(4) When the area is larger than 200 square meters, demonstration laying should be carried out before the formal installation.
Installation Site Requirement
l Use temperature and humidity instruments to detect the installation site environment.Temperature should be between 10 and 35°C. humidity should be between 20% and 75%.
l Use flatness detector to detect the flatness of the base ground, within 2 meter of the ruler,
the heught difference should be less than 5mm.
l Grinding base ground with a grinder, tohandle unevenness and surface dust of the ground.
– Use blade to remove adhesive, paint and other residues, the raised and loose places can be
polished with an polisher.

– Removing the dust of the Ground with a vacuum cleaner until it’s clean.
l The substrate moisture content, as measured by a moisture meter, must comply with the
requirement of ≤ 3%.
l The substrate strength shall meet or exceed the C20 concrete strength requirement. Otherwise, self-leveling compounds or other suitable reinforcement methods shall be applied to enhance structural integrity.
l The test results obtained from the hardness tester shall indicate that the surface hardness of the substrate is not less than 1.2MPa.
l Pouring the self-leveling slurry to the ground and use a scrapper for batch scraping.
– Putting on the spikes and use defoaming roller to discharge the air mixed in the agitation.
– Close the site immediately after the completion of the construction, and it is forbidden to walk within 10 hours
Installation Process
l Flooring should be placed on installation site for more than 24hours and make the material memory restored, and the temperature of flooring is consistent with site.
l Two vinyl sheet should be overlapped.generally overlapping range is 3cm,cutting must be done in one go.
l Using a professional trimming tools to cut the edges of the sheet.
l Before applying adhesive, roll one end of the sheet, then clean the ground and back of thesheet, then apply adhesive on the ground.
l The applying of the adhesive should beuniform and comprehesive, adhesive should be dried naturally after applying.
l Different adhesives have differentusing method, refer to the productmanual for details.
l After sheet is laid, use a cork block to squeeze out the bubbles under sheet.
l Using a 50kg or 75kg roller to roll hesheet evenly, repair the hem at the seam.
l Extra adhesive on the sheet surface shouldbe erased in time, opening grooveand welding should
start after 24hours.

l Opening groove must be done after adhesivehas fully cured.Use groove device to slot theseam,
groove should not penetrate the bottomrecommended groove depth should be 2/3 of the
thickness of the sheet.
l Before welding, the dust and debrisremaining in the groove must be removed.
l Both manual or automatic weldingequipment can be used.
l Temperature of the welding torch should be setaccording to the type of the welding rod, weldingrod should be squeezed into the groove at auniform speed.
l When the welding rod is semi-cooled, use ablade to shovel the extra part abovethe sheet surface.
l When the welding rod is completely cooled.use the blade again to remove the remaining raised part.

The method is based on our long-standing experience and extensive testing. However, the actual application of the product is also related to the conditions of actual application and the method used, these are uncontrollable factors.
Routine Cleaning

Floor Protection
Gravel/Sand ProtectionPlace an abrasive grit mat at entrances (e.g., room doors, lobby access) where PVC flooring is installed. This prevents gravel/sand particles from being tracked indoors, which may scratch the floor surface.

Handling ProtectionWhen moving items, especially those with sharp metal edges or protrusions on the bottom, avoid dragging them across the floor to
prevent surface damage.

Note: Do not use a cleaning ball or knife to scrape the floor. Do not use acetone, toluene, or other chemicals on dirt that cannot be cleaned with conventional methods.

Scratch Repair Process of Scratched Homogeneous Vinyl Flooring
- Grinding Repair Process
l Choose appropriate cleaning products and
processes to clean the floor surface thoroughly.
l Choose suitable special grinding discs and grind at
low speed. Avoid high-speed grinding. Once the floor is
rubbed and generates a high temperature, it will be
scrapped directly.
l We must spray the grinding process with a suitable
coolant to prevent high temperatures.
l The sewage needs to be cleaned up in time during
the grinding process. If the sewage stays on the floor
surface for too long, it may cause irreversible pollution.
l After grinding, a water-based polyurethane coating

must be applied to the floor surface.
- Heat treatment of using a welding gun to fix
the scratched homogeneous vinyl flooring
To repair minor scratches, you can also use a hot air
gun (for welding wires/welding rods) to adjust the
temperature to 300-400 and bake the scratched parts
until the scratches disappear. The main principle: PVC
can fill the pits by heat shrinkage. Note: The
temperature should not be too high. Adjust the
temperature according to the severity of the scratch,
and it can avoid scorching a large area of the
homogeneous vinyl floor.
